unlocking GPRS settings

Hi,
I have sony ericsson t 610 mobile from T-mobile.Every time I try to access the GPRS settings I get a communication error. I did contact the service provider with this issue, they responded saying that the GPRS has been locked by T- mobile.

Any ways or means to unlock this to activate the GPRS settings.
