Please guys, i am trying to find a global HELP, cuz my local "authotities" sux.
I live in Brazil and bought myself a nokia 7610. I have been using it with CLARO ( the phone company ) and it works fine for calling but i have a problem receiving calls from one of our phone companyies - TIM.
What ive learned so far :
1- dont know if has anything to do with that but everytime i MAKE a call apears a little box saying - Note : call diverts - but my call works fine. I have tryied playing with the call divert option in the settings menu and it didnt really made any difference.
2- My local operator said that they work on Band B and the other operator is Band A. I asked them wich frequency they work on ( 1800 or others ? ) but they couldnt tell me.
3- Both the operators have TDMA and GSM working together.
4- I receive without any problems all call made by phones from my operator, TDMA or GSM.
5- When someone calls me from a phone that cant call me, they would hear something like a busy signal.
6- Im not absolutely sure about this one but it has come to my attention that most of the times that someone cant contact me, they have started the call from a TDMA phone linked to the other operator (TIM). Most of the times that i am able to receive the calls from the other operator, they where made by GSM phones .
7- I found a TIM TDMA phone that could not call me at all. I called me at that time and it really didnt work - the answer was the busy signal. I swaped my SIM to a nokia 7250 phone from my operator (CLARO) and tryied to call him again from that same TDMA phone and it worked fine. So its definitly something in my phone.
8- I tryied to contact my operator . They had me reset the phone and reprogramed it by air . No positive results.

Guys , help me - what should i do to solve that .
Please , if additional information is required to solve that, ask me.
I am counting in the individuals in this forum because i found out that the degree of knowlegde running around these foruns are years light beyond any company.
