[b]cannot format rs mmc[/b]

hi guys,
i tried formatting my 256 mb rs mmc on my n3230 but the phone does not format that...
it seems it started the process..but hangs after the progress bar moves a few millimetres...
i want to know if its a problem with the phone or the card
..would appreciate ur help..

and the process stops there
i want to know if its a problem with the phone or the card

try to put ur memory card in another phone and try formatting or use a memory card reader and format it via ur pc!!! hope this helps....

yes i tried putting that in n7610 ..it does format on That phone but i wamted to know if there was something i was doing wrong...
so is this a problem with all the n3230s..

my mmc was corrupt and
i tried formatting my 256 mb mmc on my pc but it does not format that...
it says "Error in IOCTL call"
and the process stops there
i want to know if its a problem with the the card and how to fix it..

try first to format your mmc on other mobile, if it didn't work then try formatting it using an mmc reader or thru pc. if it's still unsuccesfull, you may wanna buy a new one.
