I know we had problems with memory in P990i (also use full with other uiq3 enable cellphones), even with the firmware upgraded to tackle the memory situation we still face major issues unless we have utility like swiss manager.

Now even if we have swiss manager, the question for some of us is how to make completely use of it.

Well here is a tutorial:

Step 1

This is how ur swiss manager would look like in the first place. Now to make sure u keep the apps which are intended to run without being closed by swiss manager every time u close applications. How to do that..? Easy, first bring the selection down to the application u want to keep running through ur jog dail. Once u have done that there is a button on the lower left side indicated by the arrow in the image above. Press that.

Step 2

Un-check the include in end all option n press done. This will ensure that the app does not get closed down when u close all applications through swiss manager.

Step 3

Now go into settings option,and in task option, as shown in the screen if u have a flip attached u can select the option to clean up on closing the flip as well as u can choose to select the clean up option when idle: as seen on the screen. Level two is something that i like to use. It keeps around 9mb free around 13% to 15% memory free which is pretty decent. Choosing level 3 would end all ur applications n some times even ur chosen applications, I don't recommend this one but u can try it out for your self if u have gdesk running it might end up in ur favor as it closes the main screen n desktop but i don't recommend this for ppl who don't use Gdesk desktop software.

Step 4

In behavior i have chosen long tap to end all applications and task mag action to end all as well. What i have done with task manager is that i have gone into the settings of my phone into device n select hardware button. I have allocated the push email button to task manager. Now what happens is dat by pressing the push email button i have enabled it to close all apps on my phone through swiss manager. If ur not using push email den i would recommend it as its very handy n saves time. Also select resist exit requests as it would keep ur swiss manager running consistently. The following pictures will make it clear in how to allocate the button to task manager.

With the phone start up fresh, there are a lot of applications running in the background consuming memory and slowing you're phone down.

In this case swiss manager along with Gdesk allows the phone to maximize on freeing memory and efficiently use the phone to its full capability.

As seen in the video by using swiss manager along with Gdesk keeping the memory reclaim at 3rd level in settings and replacing the default screen with Gdesk not only speeds up your phone but also makes it look much better.

Replacing Gdesk with the default main and using swiss manager's reclaim memory frees memory up to 13 in my case n 18 to 19 mb of precious memory space.
